21st January
Hellooo once again
A grand night was had by all at the Stray Dogs xmas party.

Forgot to mention about a little episode that took place between the Xmas and the new year
The Heed, along with others, went along to the Dragonslayers party. What the others hadn't realised was, the Heed had blagged himself a guest spot with the band appearing that night, the Dirty South.
He'd even taken his sunglasses along with him, just so as he could look extra cool - tart!!!!
Anyway he got caught out and had to appear 'sans shades' - bet he looked a right twat without them.
He sang along with 'Gimme Back My Bullets' and was persuaded to stay on for the next song, which he thought was 'Gimme Three Steps' but was in fact 'They Call Me The Breeze' - cue 4 and a bit minutes of busking and la-la -ing but he assures me he knew the words - which is more than can be said for the songs we do - no offence mate.
Anyway - the January transfer window is nearly closed, so it looks as tho' he's with us for a bit yet.
If anyone has any photos of the above act of treason - send them to me on ian1dickinson@aol.com and I'll publish them for all to see.
7th January
Happy New Year !!!!!!!
and happy birthday Kev Taylor - 50 today!
New years' resolution - I will update the site more often.
See everyone Saturday at the Stray Dogs Do.
13th December
The Heed sez the Stray Dogs Xmas Party tickets are available from Just Harleys, Shieldfield, Newcastle.
He thinks(?!) they're a fiver.
Get yourselves there, it'll be a cracking night
Avalon gig was good but not as good as their breakfasts !!!
We're probably playing there again in January and there are rumours of an appearance at the Festival of Motorcycles in August - Stay tuned for updates
20th November
Well! After all the dummy spittin' and teddy hoyin' looks like me amp's ok after all - big thanks to Rab at Sounds Live for checking it out for me - looks like it might've been the cab.
You can check out the sound on Saturday night at the Avalon - see you all there.
8th Nov
We are indeed playing @ the Avalon on the 24th be there early to avoid disappointment - anyone know how to fix amps ?????

Looks like another 'do' at the avalon - provisionally 24th November - stay tuned for confirmation.
PS anybody wanna buy a Marshall TSL head ?
Date for diaries Stray Dogs Xmas Party 12th Jan

15th October
Hello once again, just a coupla quick updates - better late than never
Friday 21st saw us bool up to the Heart 'n' Soul Rally at Gosforth Park
After a bit of a chore getting our passes to get in, we got the gear set up and were presented with our very own back stage passes. These gave us access to the cunningly disguised and well hidden green room (no it wasn't actually green - they never are)
Once located it turned out to be a veritable Aladdins' Cave of free beer - I sampled several pints of Mordues before venturing onto stage.
Proper stage and proper sound engineer made for an enjoyable gig - although first on, on the first night is a bit of a lonely experience.
It went off pretty much incedent free apart from my mike being dodgy (or was the a comment on iffy backing vocals - who knows), the floor filled up (a bit) and everyone, I could see through the obligatory smoke, seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Anyway big thanks to the HOGs' Geordie Chapter for the hospitality
The following Saturday (29th) was the Avalon for Phils' 40th birthday
A logistical nightmare (Andys' lack of transport) saw me an' him there in the afternoon dropping off the drum kit and then picking him up on the way back through.
We got there about half 7 an' humped the gear inside where t'other Ian had the PA, lights etc all ready to go.
Lol took off in the car, to try to find a 'safe' place to park the car returning after half an hour- not to happy 'bout the fact she'd parked 'miles' away and terrified with the antics of the natives.
For anyone not familiar with Whitley Bay - it's one of the most hedonistic places on the face of the earth - full of hen and stag parties, people staggering around absolutely arseholed, couples giving it six-nowt in someones front garden and others creating art in the form of street pizzas - you've got to see it to believe it!
Against this backdrop of the North East version of Dantes' Inferno Lol decided she wasn't happy with where the car was and I was required to escort her back there to move it.
So there we were, trying to blend into the background - me 'clip clopping' in cowboy boots, leather waistcoat, bandana on head and another hanging 'foppishly' from my back pocket - wandering up the street, drawing less than freindly glances from the daft lads who'd been on the lash for the last 48hrs and I'm thinking "f**k me, I could end up dead here.
But a combination of refusing to make eye contact and hiding behind Lol esured safe passage.
On to the gig itself
Best so far - it's only a small room and therefore 'intimate' but that just brings the local 'characters' a little bit closer. Ian got the sound pretty much spot on and the new lights just added to the atmosphere.
The Heed was on top form.
The birthday boy was presented with a t shirt Nippa had especially printed reading 'I'm not 40 I'm just 21 with 19 years' experience'
All went great until the Heed, in his excitement, knocked me guitar outta tune in the middle of Boys are Back - it didn't sound good.
Never mind tho' a good night was had by all.
We just had to finally run the gauntlet of drunks trying to climb into the car thinking it was a taxi !
Luckily everyone escaped and no-one was killed
7th September
Don't forget the Avalon on the 29th - Joe tells me we're chalked on the board outside, so I'd consider that a booking!

Made it to 'Stormin the Castle last weekend - could only hack the Saturday night tho'. Skinflint were on - another brilliant set.
Wanted to see UFO but some really, really old people turned up in their place - sounded like them tho'. Anyway had a good time on the dodgems - try it pissed, it's much more fun.
It's a great rally, this one, apart from the mackem charva camp next door, some of whom caused a bit a bother on friday night and were probably responsible for trying to nick Garys' monkey bike and chucking in a hedge.
The Heed is back off his hols and it appears he's been prostituting himself around the bars of Majorca - singing with a band called Lucky13 see the evidence below:-
Tart! I hope you're very happy together
8th August
Through painstaking detective work (in fact he e-mailed me to tell me), the mystery poster of videos is none other than our own Ian 'the ferret' Gibson
Actually it was never a mystery - I just never read his original e-mail properly - There was also a massive clue in the user name on YouTube - 'ferretzxr'
Sorry mate - you now have full credit for it.
" I haven't been well, y'know"
6th August
Someone ( now revealed as a band member) has put a recording of us on YouTube, doing 'Jailbreak' at the Hebburn Buffs last Xmas - here's the link:-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_guamai4nEI
p.s Just updated Andys' list of nuts and bolts on the gear page - if anyone's interested!
31st July
Photos from the dragonslayers now on the gallery page - thanks to Ali for letting us use them - cheers - we owe you a beer!
27th July
Hi Everyone - sorry 'bout the lack of news - pure laziness on my part
Nippa's now confirmed that we're playing the Avalon, Whitley Bay on the 29th September- open to anyone and everyone.
There are some cracking photos of the Dragonslayers gig on the Big Ginger Gits Gig Pit follow this link http://toonrockpages.proboards85.com/index.cgi
You'll have to register to see them or if you hang on I've asked if I can use them an' I'll put them in the gallery
2 gigs since my last missive -firstly a slightly soggy do for the Broken Pistons at the Knowesgate Inn
All went more or less to plan except for the painfully out of tune redition of 'Man of Constant Sorrow' - please accept my sincerest appologies if you were scarred by having to endure this - I promise I won't do it again
We were supporting Feed the Bear - if you get the chance, go see them - the lead singer is truly eccentric.
He spent most of the set running 'round the field - the curse of the radio mike!!!!!
Many thanks to Toady for paying us with full size cans of lager, this year
Party Sevens next time ????
The Dragonslayers next - fantastic organisation, brilliant stage - lights - the works ...........but guys - too much dry ice!!!!!
Anyway got there, in what we thought was plenty of time, only to find Nippa under pressure cos Skinflint were already part way through their set and no sign of Gibby, Col or Andy.
Went to watch a bit of the aforementioned Skinflint and thought F**k me - we've got to follow that!? - it was all hair and boundless energy. Their rendition of Highway Star (my all time favourite Purple track) was brilliant. Unfortunately there was no possibility of escape.
The rest of the band turned up and we all pitched in and played 'roadie' helping hump their gear off the stage.
All set up, sound check complete, 5 minutes - time for a slash - then back on - Jailbreak - Gimme 3 Steps etc etc -went down a treat.
We even managed an encore - 20th Century Boy and American Idiot.
Andy managed to demolish his kit during the latter, losing his floor tom (I think that's what you call it) it just keeled over - anyway I never noticed
Andy wants to know if he looks like Neil Peart in his bandana. Nippa looks like Freddy Mercury in his 70's throwback sports vest - don't ya think?

1st July
We've been booked for the Dragonslayers on the Friday night (20th July) - movin' up the bill - second last on !!! Fame at last - 21.00 hrs - be there!!!!
21st June
Just to prove we do take some notice of what's said in the guest book - our gear page is under construction - just waiting for Nippa and Col
2oth June
Hello again, long time no see!
It's taken me a while to calm down enough, after the Sandancers do, to give you a coherent account of the days' events. You'll find out why later
Anyway........ It was red hot when I set off on me bike for the rally site ( Souter Lighthouse ) but it didn't half cool down when I got near the coast.
Got to the site and found the Heed with Taylor,Gary and Joe so I pitched me tent alongside them. Taylor was so proud of his £9.99 tent from Lidl or somewhere - it was basically a one person kiddies play tent! It kept falling over until a few extra knots kept it up.

Taylors' new tent
It was sunny but there was a chilly force 10 blowing from the sea and the buggers in the lighthouse kept sounding the foghorn - by hell they're loud, close up.
At this point me and the Heed went off to check out the marquee and have a chat with the sound guy but, unfortunately, the bar was also in there. We made a pact at this point, only to have one, maybe two, cans. We were just finishing the second when we wandered up to the tents. Taylor was most perturbed that it was a 'can only' bar, his concern being "they might run out".
Gary decided that he'd go to the local offy and get some Guiness and Taylor asked him to get a bottle of Vodka
So..... the gear turns up and we set up just as the other band - Outrageous Wallpaper http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bob.beeson/
Sound check completed we got on with the gig
I was really up for it - as were the rest of the boys - everthing was going great - hordes of naked scotsmen screaming "FREEDOM" ala Braveheart
When all of a sudden an open can of lager comes flying thru the air and lands at my feet and empties over (both) my pedals. I thought "shit - the start of another Jacobite rebellion"! I look up..... and see............... Taylor - out of his skull on neat vodka- with a sheepish look on his face - Twat. Well... I just lost it ,I was threatening to rip his head of and all kinds of things

PLUS
= TWAT!
That was it for me - I couldn't play to save my life after that ( many say I couldn't before )
Anyway .... we got to the last song ' Boys are Back in town ' And I composed mesel' enough to get thru it without any glitches (mainly for Colin's lads Colin Jnr and Lee, whov've made Col or their Mam play it over and over for them) and although the crowd wanted more, me heart wasn't in it - I just wanted to get 'round the front and kill Taylor
Nippa actually said (supposedly in Kevs defence) " It's ok,mate,it was meant for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!! that makes it ok then??!!!!
No matter, the dickwit had been told off by just about everyone in the marquee and I'd calmed down a bit - but remember this Mr T - this has not been forgiven or forgotten, you're on probation, bonny lad
The Wallpaper boys were very complimentary ( thanks for the support guys )even tho' Nippa kept refering to them as "outrageous wardrobe" . They did get their own back by calling us "2 twenty" No offence meant or taken
Their set was sooperb, although i can only remember basket case, cos we danced right thru' it. This amnesia was caused by our rewards for the night -24 cans of lager - see, taylor, you needn't have worried me an' the heed had loadsa beer
At half one we saundered up to the bait van and had summat to eat - who was it chatting up the women in the van " I'll see you ladies outside in 5 minutes " was the line - can't quite remember who said it tho'
We turn in for the night but Taylor summons Nippa to his tent for a chat
Nippa wakes up in the early hours , freezing to death, on top of the tartan terror ( kevs' ancient sleeping bag ) and no sign of taylor. So, Nippa drags himself to his own tent only to find Taylor snuggled up in his sleeping bag - Clever, but I don't think he planned it - he's not bright enough- so Nippa turfs him out and he crawls back to the play tent
Next morning the only thing I can get out of him, re the can hoyin' incedent was "it was a joke" HA, F**CKIN HA! KEV
Happy Days!
04/05/07
latest news - we've got a booking for the Harley Owners Group at Gosforth Park on Friday September 21st
As usual we're first on - but who cares? It's a gig
A new phrase has entered the English Language - it's defined as 'taking something to it's extreme and then realising you've gone comlpetely over the top' - It goes " obviously... I wouldn't do that live" - ask Andy!!! he'll explain
15/4/2007
This weekend saw two fifths of your favourite rock covers band ( + Taylor ) heading into sub tropical Co Durham for the S*nderland District MCC rally.
The day started off with Nippas' legendary organisational skills deserting him - he told me the wrong time to meet and eddie the wrong place! Anway we all eventually massed in the car park of the Smelters Arms in Castleside for pre rally refereshment - great idea but for one flaw - the pub was closed!
Matty turned up in his latest aquisition probably best descrided as a small housing estate on wheels !! I ask you - who needs 5.9 litres? It's officially called a Dodge Ram.
You could see other 4X4 drivers hiding cos they felt so inadeqate - the size of this bloody thing has to be seen to believed. It's more economical, however, than matty's former Ford Cobra powered trike ( 15 mpg compared to 12 ! )
Anyway matty cracked the bonnet and we took turns at climbing on each others' shoulders to catch a glimpse of the engine.
At the other end of the scale Gary turned up on 110cc monkey bike - pea on a drum.
Eventually we arrived at the rally site and pitched the tents and then wandered over to the control tent to register our epic journey (20 miles) to see if we got a prize for the furthest travelled.
Whilst we were claiming our rally badges ( the only time you'll ever see me wearing anything with the word s*nderland on it ), the affable lady doleing them out said to the Heed " I know you - you're from that band" this obviously inflates his already epic ego to greater heights and he slips effortlessly into rock star mode with a bit of chat.
So, here I am, stood next to him waiting to be 'bigged up' as one of the talented members of the band ( not just the singer ) and nowt, no acknowledgement - nuffin'
So I'm in full indignant flow - ME,ME what about ME - I'm in the effin' band too!!!!
Great merryment and piss taking from the gathered throng but I was eventually placated by the confession that it was only his tee shirt she recognised - HA!
Over to the bar - the pub where the rally is held isn't a pub anymore, but all the furniture was in and around a gazebo in the rally field - brilliant. The weather was fantastic, hot and sunny, so we sat there sampling the local ales.
1st mistake - Bri turns up and produces the ubiquitous bottle of schnapps - mixed with real ale, the results were apparently dramatic.
I can vaguely remember Taylor turning up - sober - and being disgusted at our behaviour !! that's rich coming from a bloke who shits himself - he later asked Mattys' lad "am I that bad when I'm drunk" only to be told "no Kev - you're worse". At that he threatened to drink sensibly in future - yeah, right Kev.
What happened next is a blank - this amnesia cured by Colin and his photos of me on the ground asleep in various poses around the campsite. Apparently after pissing in the rubbish bag tied to the main tent pole in the marquee, I fell over and my attempts to gain my former vertical status were thwarted by Colin kicking me up the arse and knocking me over again.
Now bear in mind I'm not the only one in this state ( which, for our younger readers isn't big or clever). Nippa has spotted the first band, who allegedly have heard of us, and has set about telling them what to play ( sorry guys can't remember your name )suffice to say they are a Mettallica tribute band and therefore play Metallica songs and the Heed couldn't remember a single one. He starts off " you've got to play er.... what's that song em...y'know by Metallica " at this point he's looking desperatley for someone to bail him out. " Enter Sandman ?" one of the band offers , "aye that'll dee" replies the brain of Britain.
So somehow me an' baz ended back at the tent and slept of the worst effects of the alcohol. I was rudely awakened by col dragging me out of the tent by my ankles.
We stumbled back to the main marquee but my heart wasn't in it - I was back in my pit by the time the band struck up 'enter sandman '( how appropriate ) and 'whiskey in the jar' (o)
The main band sounded fantastic from my perspective ( flat on my back in the tent ) especially their version of 'highway star' - I did hear what they were called but forgot - I'll ask the heed and put it here
Heard Col stagger back and start 'blowing chunks' before he retired for the night
Taylor was last to bed - shit faced as usual - obviously paced himself into that state!
Anyway I was up bright eyed at 6-45 the next morning waiting for the chuckwagon to open up along with gary, eddie and baz - worlds' greatest pick me up - bacon sarnie and a steaming hot cuppa - magic.
Gary set off 20 mins ahead of me on the monkey bike - I overtook him at Castleside - what a sight, geet big bloke on a little bike.
PS I did offer Andy a lift to the rally on me bike but he wimped out.
As a postscript to the above events I've since learned that Nippa was in fact in bed well before the last band came on and Taylor was last man standing at about 11-30 - what a pathetic excuse for hard partying bikers we are.
Nippa says the bands were Damage Inc. and Rock Solid
Once again Taylor avoided soiling himself but only just. Nippa was awoken in the early hours by a panic stricken Mr T desperately trying to work the tent zip - taylor isn't the most technically minded of people, however Nippa managed to get him outside for a wazz. It's like having an untrained puppy in your tent.
Interestingly the fliers for the Sandancers rally warn that ' the rally site is close to the cliff - take care - you have been warned ' !! best take a parachute, then.
6/3/2007
It is with great regret that I have to announce that I am now officially relegated to the rank of 'Lightweight' when it comes to partying.
This follows a sorry episode last saturday when I arranged to meet Andy and the Heed after the smoggies match - where in fact I managed to say hello to Nippa ( at 7 o'clock ) before being taken home and put to bed at 8-30.
I missed Andy altogether.
For this I am will be eternally sorry - will the boys ever speak to me again??
19/02/07
Hot text - just in - we're booked for the Sandancers rally at Souter lighthoose on Saturday the 2nd of June!!!

Souter lighthoose

Just to let you know - Andy has been found!!!- he wasn't kidnapped after all - the fact is Nippa was so pissed he couldn't remember saying goodnight!!!
Just in - pictures from the Shite Shags do in October - I suggest that Lindy takes here film to a different shop next time - 4 months !!!!
I've used one as the new banner for the website - cheers Lindy
01/02/07
HAS ANYONE SEEN OUR DRUMMER!?
Andy made the mistake of going out on Saturday night with Nippa an Bri and hasn't been seen or heard since
The last contact we had was a garbled message about possibly 'scoring' (whatever that means )
Typical Nippa pissed in charge of a minor
Despite repeated texts, there's no sign of the bairn
We're concerned that Andy has been taken hostage as a sex slave and we're dead scared in case we miss out too
So if you know of his whereabouts - let us know
22/01/2007
Hi
I'm having to update this after driving 350 miles cos Nippa's expecting it
Saturday was a bit hectic - Got up, abluted, loaded all the kit in the car and then off to Shieldfield
All the gear was duly humped up the stairs and set up - We must mark the cables going to the stage box cos we must've wasted an hour trying to get levels on the wrong intruments
Anyway Ian G got it all sorted in the end and we finally got our soundcheck. This led to the bizzarre scene of Andy being left all alone on the stage while we were all out front listening to the sound while playing.
There was then a mad dash for me an' Col to get to SJP to watch the toon play West'am. A quick detour via the Percy for pre match training and to collect Taylor 'cos he can't find the ground on his own!
And with 22 minutes gone and 2 goals down,my head in my hands, I was ready to crawl into a corner and rock gently back and forth. Anyway the boys rallied, spirits lifted and after a 2-2 draw I was really looking forward to the gig.
After downing a couple of post match pints ( although I had promised not to drink (too much)) I legged it back to the club.
I was flattered to be recognised as a member of the band ( Fame at last !!!) as I arrived on the door.
Nippa was already 'on the drink' when I walked into the room, probably cos the place was a little empty (it was only half 6)
Anyway he needn't've worried it soon filled up and the DJ got things warmed up with a fine selection of music. I've got to give the DJs tee shirt a mention - fantastic - on the front was a sound level meter which was (or appeared to be) reacting to the music
On to the gig
Opening with Jailbreak, the ever realiable Kev Taylor was joined on the floor by his doppelganger (and possible love child) Liam (drummer with 'Snake Eyes') and my other half Lol, who ,once again, interpreted our music through the medium of dance.( funnily enough Liam not only looks like Taylor he also has the same idiosyncratic way of 'dancing')
Although the dance floor was, at best, sparsely populated, there was generous applause after each song - such treats as 'Gimme 3 steps', 'would I lie to you 'and 'Times Like these'
The first set ended on time at 8-45, in time for the raffle, whilst not to thunderous applause, we knew we'd been appreciated.
The second half was completely different - we kicked off with 'man of constant sorrow' - (can I take this opportunity to appologise for my slightly croaky voice) - it was a bit like the 'white heather club' with all the in time clapping but great fun - I think we'll keep it in!
The floor filled up as soon as we struck up with our interpretation of Caroline and it stayed full to the end.
It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves but really off-putting having buxom blondes bouncing around in front of you - gorgeous!!!!
What really caused a couple of bum notes, was the site of two young ladies performing simulated sex acts up against the stage - right in front of me!!!! you know who you are.
Last was 'word up' which went down well- well enough for us to be dragged back on for our contrived but poorly organised ( 3 of us left the stage and 2 stayed on) encore.
We finshed with 'the boys are back' and 'American Idiot' All in all a fantastic night,
Our thanks go to The Stray Dogs for having us - cheers, to Danny for twiddling the knobs and making us sound good, to Gill for taking Andy and his kit home and videoing the whole gig and to everyone who came along to make it a Cracking night - 3 more gigs came out of the night - I'll keep you informed
Oh! and happy birthday Lol x
15th January
Happy New Year !!!!!!!!!
Many appologies for the lack of any updates- I have finally realised that AOL is shite and is preventing me from updating our site
No longer - thanks to Bill Gates and the power if IE7
Anyway , since I last spoke to you Col hasn't got any taller , Nippa is still dirnking too much, Ian's still got a crease in his heed and Kev hasn't soiled himself
We had a great night at the Hebburn Buffs club - The place was packed and the sound was fantastic - to cap it all we raised £100 for charity.
The plan is to repeat the event in march at a bigger venue in Jarra and hopefully raise a bit more for charity.
We've added 3 more songs to our set list and we've been rehearsing hard for this Saturday
Andy's slotted in nicely, and is slowly revealing his true 'drummers' side ( by that I mean all drummers are barely suppressed psychopaths )
So we'll see you at Shieldfield Club on Saturday
02/12/2006
In one of his more lucid moments,Nippa has cofirmed that the Stray Dogs do is on Saturday 20th January
21/1/2006
Sorry 'bout the lack of updates but I've had a twat of a time getting onto the site to update it
Glad to say we've found a new drummer. So a big helloooo to Andy
We've had 3 rehearsals ( including Andys' 'try out' ) and things are coming together
On the gig front we're doing a short set @ the Hebburn Buffs club on thursday december 28th and we're playing for the Stray Dogs Motorcycle Club Xmas party at Shieldfield club ( the date's a bit vague at the mo, cos Nippa was pissed when he arranged it but we think it is the 19th january )
Andy's really looking forward to his first motorbike do - so don't disappoint him - we want huge amounts of drunkeness, debuachery and nudity
20/10/06
as of today Sean has decided to leave the band
anyone know a good drummer ?
18/10/06
I've changed the text colour in response to a complaint from our kid, who was unable to read the red on black - what d'you think - comments please
Keep watching - if I can find any decent video of us - I'll post it on here for you all to download and cherish - it'll provide a good laugh in 10 years time
I've worked out how to retrieve e-mails from the contact form - so I've re-enabled it, if anyone wants to contact us that way ( p.s Col got your abusive e-mail from may )
11th October
Yaalreet!
Sorry 'bout the lack of updates - truth is I couldn't be arsed
Last Saturday ( 10th ) saw us at the Shite Shags Lil Tiddler Rally and once again a great time was had by all
Me an' Nippa got there early cos we wanted to feel part of the rally but after one pint I felt pissed so had to start drinking coke. Nippa wasn't as restrained. Seeing as we were camping, and the rally was all about raising money for charity, we gladly paid up for our wrist bands.
However later we were 'robbed' by 2 semi naked women and bollock naked man with an offensive weapon ( well it offended me cos it was bigger than mine ), again all in the name of charity ( what I wouldn't do for a look at a pair of breasts ........................mmmmmmm breasts )
We started setting up around 5-30 and got a sound check ( or two ) in before kicking off - about 7 I think - with Jailbreak. Once again our very own 'Bez', mister Kevin Taylor provided us with his own, unique, interpretation of the music through the medium of dance. Meanwhile Baz tried to looked interested ( as he'd been instructed to do ) but spent most of the set gazing into the middle distance, no doubt worrying whether mr taylor would shit in his tent.
All was going well ( the usual fingers caught in strings, bum notes and fluffed endings - hey! no-ones perfect ) until the very last song - Man of Constant Sorrow. The sound man 'lost' my acoustic somewhere in the mixing desk and I had to play thru' my amp. Consequently it sounded shite - for that I appologise
Anyway the biggest shock came when our erstwhile bassman Colin 'not f**kin' Status Quo' Harding was seen dancing to the music of headline band 'On the Level', who are a STATUS QUO TRIBUTE BAND!!!!!!! you hypocrite (hypocrite - a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public actions.) However I think he may have been coerced by a pretty woman.
Anyway Nippa, being a life long Quo fan, was in his element and sang every word back at the band. But,once again he disgraced himself by sucking up to, yet another, headline band
So with the performing out of the way - on to the drinking !! All was going well until the beer got the better of us and we decided on a Quintuple Jacky Ds' - my how we've suffered since. That really finished us off for the night
For those of you who are wondering, for the second rally in succession, Kev failed to soil himself - WELL DONE MR. T.
Photos ( courtesy of Lindy ) will be posted when she e-mails them to me
Thaks to Lol and Jill for foregoing the dubious pleasures of the drink to act as roadies and ferry the gear about
Thanks to Vinny and all at the Shite Shags for a great rally - see you next year

Just been informed T.O.C. gig has been cancelled - bugger!

Quick story concerning No1 fan - Kev Taylor - he was at the MAG rally @ Witton castle last weekend but because Nippa couldn't make the Saturday night ( the two of them are inseparable at rallies ), he was unfortunately left to his own devices. He got so drunk he spent 4 hours wandering 'round in the dark looking for his tent !!! He only located it when it got light and, presumably, he'd sobered up enough to see. - typical! ( at least he kept the contents of his bowels to himself )

Well! looks like things have started moving again
We've got a gig on the 9th for the Triumph Owners Club and Toady's been back in touch abot next years' Broken Piston - that's one helluva advance booking - lets hope the tinnies are all grown up by next year - not the stunted, under-developed ones our efforts were rewarded with this year - just jokin' the beer tasted ok just not enough of it.
Speaking of the Broken Piston Rally, the good names of Nippa and myself were called into question when we were accused of being the Stickies bitches by sucking up and adoring them too much.
This follows on the heels of a similar accusation at Sounds in the Grounds when we were accused of the identical crime in conjunction with the headline band - Riot
I can refute these charges and simply state - we were both absolutely arseholed and didn't know what we were doing - so there!
